As founder and creator of Gyrotonic Satnam in West Palm Beach, Oblio Wish has conceived a unique consortium of Gyrontonic, Kundalini Yoga (from the teachings of Yogi Bhajan), Yamuna (ball class) in concert with a tea bar, clothing boutique, nutrition and wellness boutique.

The vibe is uncommon to most yoga and even exercise facilities with daily offerings that include a revolving array of exercise, replenishment, fashion and beauty events.
Immaculate, calm and organized, the mats and sheepskin rugs are laid out on pristine, polished floors.
"Everything in 'Gyro' is transparent," says Oblio. "It is not unusual for a customer to come for tea, a lesson in organic make-up, shop the 70% sale room, work the Gyrotonic machines, shop hand picked fashion and accessories, or take a Yamuna Ball class." Shaman chocolates and tea are typically served during classes and a vegan chef provides snacks for customers. Children-centric events, fundraisers and culinary experiences add to the mix of experiences she brings to her customers.

Oblio wakes up at 4 a.m. everyday, “with the animals”, enjoying the pitch dark, listening to the birds and watching the sunrise.
Oblio feels the biggest threat to our planet is our Oceans.
She lives right on the ocean and considers herself so nourished by it that she created a fashion fundraiser with Blue Sphere Media.
Obio practices Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan and mantras at home every morning, and on Saturdays she practices and studies with Gurmukh and Deva Kaur. Yogi Bhajan gave her spiritual name Simrun Kaur, which means “the woman who prays to god.” Though her birth name, Oblio Wish came from her grandmother and to her knowledge, has no significant meaning.
She considers Kundalini Yoga the glue that informs her spirituality. Having had a difficult childhood she attributes her healing directly to it, “Kundalini brings me right down to where I need to be.” In addition, Oblio teaches Kundalini for dogs.
Though in her 60’s, Oblio feels and is more vital than ever. She is a vegan, maintains a very clean lifestyle and believes everything should be planned in moderation. This is her key to a balanced life. If she finds she becomes upset and wants more of something beyond moderation, she stops and changes her pattern.
Oblio insists that we need to consistently "stand back from where you are right now, and spend the time to just let it go.”
Coming from a self proclaimed “broken” childhood, Oblio believes that the biggest gift she gained from parenting is patience. She is most proud of her children and grandchildren and that they have had more consistent childhood experiences. She recalls a neighbor who took her in when she was a teen, gave her tough love and taught her that she had to pay back what she had borrowed. She is ever grateful for this life lesson.
Though it may not seem like it now, Oblio had to overcome a deep sense of shyness. She gained it through offering support to her customers and now transfers this confidence back to them whenever possible. When a customer is shopping, Oblio reinforces a positive approach by asking what they like about their body and presents clothes that focus on those details rather than attempting to push a particular product.
Oblio chooses to see the ying and yang of every situation, “you have a choice in the morning to wake up in a good mood or a bad mood.”
Oblio is both a fan and purveyor of the PRITI Collection. She loves the Lucent Buddha because she likes the transparency and the smooth texture. She also loves our Mantra tee because of the bias cut, the length and the fit.
The Gyrotonic method is an original, and unique movement practice which has roots in Yoga, Tai Chi and dance. Gyrotonic exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements, which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions, with corresponding breath. It is a low- impact body conditioning system developed in the mid 1980s by a former ballet dancer with the New York City Opera , Juliu Horvath. After his personal struggle with chronic pain and injury, he developed the Gyrotonic Expansion System. Each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring them or causing compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility.
Kundalini as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a dynamic form of yoga that awakens awareness: It uses sets of yogic postures and movements (asana) with meditative focus, breath work (pranayama), and chanting (mantra). In addition to strengthening the health and well-being of the physical body, it is very useful for emotional balance, mental clarity, stress relief, and personal transformation. Kundalini Yoga is the original and most powerful system of yoga. The word "Kundalini" means awareness. In yogic tradition, Kundalini is the latent spiritual energy within every person that can be awakened by the practice of yoga if it is done according to the instructions and within the tradition in which it was originally taught.
The MELT Method® (MELT) is a self-treatment technique that helps people get out and stay out of chronic pain. When pain becomes chronic, the body's natural state of stability and balance declines. When a body is unstable, it can't be efficiently mobile. By learning how to MELT, you can learn to actively partake in decreasing stuck stress daily so it doesn't accumulate and cause symptoms that sap your vitality and energy. With MELT helps you learn to assess your body's stability system before your body produces pain signals to alert you something is wrong. MELT was originally developed by manual therapist Sue Hitzmann as homework for her clients to empower them to actively partake in their healing regimen.
