YOGA BLANKETS ARE A TOOL THAT ASSIST AND PROTECT YOUR BODY
A yoga blanket makes a versatile yoga prop. When beginning a new practice, the postures may feel awkward or unachievable. As for the more advanced practitioner, a blanket can fine-tune an asana. For example: sit on it to raise your hips above your knees in seated poses, cushion your back in reclining poses, support and maintain the natural curve in your neck and shoulders in inversions and happily keep you warm during final relaxation.
OUR UNIQUE FOLDING LINES
Our Art of Folding 100% Cotton Woven Yoga Blanket is designed with embroidered color-coded lines that divide the blanket into many folds including four-fold, classical fold, standard fold, single fold, double fold, roll fold and cone fold. For example, the black plus sign shape (+) divides the blanket into fours and the red lines into eighths for a classical or standard fold. Mostly all of the other folds begin from the classical fold. OUR PRITI EDUCATION VIDEO SERIES
Priti Education is a series of short video clips that demonstrate blanket folding techniques to support asanas. Certified Iyengar yoga instructor Lisa Rotell gracefully demonstrates various folding techniques using Priti yoga blankets so you can see them in action. Just like "The Princess and the Pea," yogis must maintain an instinct for alignment and precision, minimize imbalance, bumps and snags in our blankets. We strive for the perfect fold to increase symmetry and balance in our bodies. We also encourage dialogue between instructors and practitioners in support of preventing injury and maintaining a mindful practice.
